Dr. Kendyl Tarver is a former college educator, a former early childhood and elementary teacher, a former cheer coach, and a former bus driver. She currently serves as the Director of Kreative Learning Academy. Dr. Tarver is a native of Phenix City, Alabama and a Central High School graduate. She is also a graduate of CVCC where she received an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts, the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where she received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, the University of West Alabama in Livingston (UWA) where she received a master’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and Northcentral University (NCU) where she received an education specialist degree and doctorate degree in curriculum and teaching.
Dr. Tarver taught English Language Learner (ELL) strategies to both children and adults, and she served in Title I Schools for 8 years. She served as Director of Early Childhood Care and Education at Columbus Technical College for 2 years, where she taught aspiring teachers, led adjunct teachers, established partnerships with child care facilitles such as Fort Moore CYS and Enrichment Services, and she taught dual enrollment courses to high school students at Chattahoochee County High School.
In her spare time, she enjoys good food, floral design, traveling, and spending time with family, which includes husband Christopher, daughter Madison, and son Christopher II. She is an art enthusiast and a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
